We have to take a moment to brag about the EHS Student Council. At the beginning of March, the officers completed state reports, which are annual reports of what the council accomplished from March 1, 2023, to Feb 28, 2024. There are four reporting categories along with an Outstanding Report. For the 11th consecutive year, EHS exceeded expectations in all areas set by the Texas Association of Student Councils and has been recognized as a Sweepstakes School.

Additionally, Student Council was elected to serve on the regional student council board (for the 4th time in 5 years), known as D713, as Parliamentarian. Mary Martha Rabalais '25 will serve as the EHS representative to the board. Mary Martha will collaborate with student leaders from across the Houston area to plan events and service opportunities throughout next year.

Just this week, EHS received notification that for the 10th consecutive year, the Student Council has been awarded the National Gold Council of Excellence Award from the National Association of Student Council. This is the highest award a student council can receive.

Continuing the tradition of high-performance and high-quality events, service, and projects was the primary goal of the officers this year and we'd like to congratulate them on their success.
