Dance

First and foremost, the study of dance seeks to foster a love for the beauty of movement and a joy in sharing that movement through performance. Students of dance develop competency in the terminology of dance and its history; they become competent in critiquing a dance performance. As students become more technically proficient, they choreograph dance performances. Through the study of dance, students develop an appreciation for the commitment and discipline necessary for this art form.
