Episcopal High School

Parent Volunteer Opportunities

Below is a list of current volunteer opportunities. If you are interested in serving the School as a parent volunteer, contact Dean of Parent Programs John Colello by August 8, 2016.

Afternoon Spirit Treats

Serve snow cones or hot chocolate to students on Wednesdays after school.

Arts Angels

Support the Arts Pillar by helping with gallery openings and all performing arts productions, providing dinner and lunch during rehearsals and Hexagon yearbook deadlines, helping with fundraisers, organizing concession sales during performances, and caring for choir robes and costumes.

For the past 32 years, Episcopal High School has held an annual Auction Gala with one simple goal: to raise necessary revenue for the School's operating budget. The EHS Auction Gala has an impressive number of parent volunteers who dedicate their time to the School through activities such as procuring Auction items or working in the Auction Office. At the first Auction Luncheon meeting, you will learn about the planning of the Gala and meet the Auction Committee Chairs. You do not have to be an Auction volunteer to attend the luncheons—all EHS parents are welcome! For more information about the Auction, click here.

Cookie Moms

Volunteers greet the students during break from 10:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and sell cookies. Two volunteers are needed for break each day; commitments can be weekly or monthly.

The Care Committee

This committee provides support and care for the EHS community when needed.

Christmas Decor and Grounds

Opportunities arise throughout the year to help spruce up the landscape with color, especially at Christmastime when the EHS campus reflects the spirit of the season.

Dads Club Grillers

Volunteer to grill at football games and other EHS events!

Luncheons and Special Events

Plan and host three events during the school year. This is a fun way to meet other parents!

Faculty and Staff Appreciation

Members make holiday treat bags and help organize an end-of-the-year catered lunch.

The HANDS Committee (Handling Anything Needed During School) meets on Tuesday mornings to assist with various mailings during the school year, such as Annual Giving and Grandparents Day.

Hospitality and Cookies

Bake cookies for special events during the school year, or help with serving and set-up.

The MEN4EHS prayer group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:15 a.m. in the Chapel transept. A light breakfast is served following prayer and fellowship.

Moms in Prayer

Moms in Prayer gather in Anderson Hall on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The group prays for the community, students, and school events. They also pray specifically for each Board, staff, and faculty member over the course of the semester.

Race for the Cure

EHS organizes one of the biggest and best fundraising teams each year for Race for the Cure. Volunteers are needed to help distribute t-shirts.

Students of Service
Parent volunteers are often needed to chaperone, supervise, and assist with SOS projects. For more information on current service opportunities, click here.
