Thanks to All Who Stepped Up to Help EHS Stand Out!
The first phase of the Annual Fund is seeing great promise. We are grateful to the families who are making this year #HoustonStrong at EHS! Let's knock one out of the park for our extraordinary School! If you would like to participate in this year's fund, visit our online donor page.
Please take a moment to hear senior Reed Stanley share his story about the positive impact of the Arts Pillar at EHS.

A Message from the Head of School:

For personal reasons, the Rev. Phil Kochenburger, Dean of Spiritual Life, has resigned from his position at EHS, and his last day was Friday, November 3. We wish Phil the very best in his future endeavors. In due time, and with the consultation of our Bishop, we will commence a search for our next head of the Religion Pillar. The Rev. Beth Holden has kindly agreed to assume a number of Rev. Kochenburger's responsibilities, among them teaching his class until the end of this semester and covering some additional activities. The Religion Pillar remains at the heart of Episcopal High School.

EHS Hosts Open House This Wednesday
History doesn't remember those who fit in. Only those brave enough to stand out. At EHS, our teachers are dedicated to helping every student discover his or her inner genius--that special talent or extraordinary passion that sets you apart from all others.

We invite current parents with 8th grade children to join us for our Open House. And please tell your co-workers, friends, and neighbors with prospective students to come and experience EHS for themselves.

We look forward to seeing you this Wednesday, November 8, at 7:00 p.m.

Academics Pillar Reminds Parents About Midterm/Finals Cancellations and Academic Assistance

The School will forego mid-year exams and fall semester finals in December to capture the instructional days lost to our Hurricane Harvey closure earlier this year.
Monday, December 11 through Wednesday, December 20--which would have been review and exam days--will become regular school days with a 3:15 p.m. dismissal and may include unit tests, writing assignments, and quizzes.
The last day of school before our holiday break is Wednesday, December 20. Dismissal is at 3:15 p.m. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding.

Parents who are considering psycho-educational testing for their student to qualify for SAT/ACT accommodations and an Education Plan, should contact the Director of Academic Assistance, Jenny Cantrell, for the list of EHS-approved evaluators via email or phone: 713-512-3677.
