Girls Volleyball Brings Home an SPC Trophy!
Girls volleyball capped off a stellar season by winning the SPC trophy in a thrilling finals match with Houston Christian. The Knights took game #1, 25-11, game #2, 25-14, but then Houston Christian fought back in game #3 to win 25-23. In game #4, the girls rallied to win, 26-24. This marks the School's first SPC volleyball championship since 1998.

Amanda Watts, head girls volleyball coach, says: "Our team was full of talent, but what was more impressive was the chemistry they had on the court. We had a tough preseason that put us up against the top public and private schools in the state. We took our lumps then but it prepared us for conference play. We lost our last match on September 9 in a tournament and won an impressive eighteen straight matches since then," she explains.

"This group of girls battled to go undefeated in south zone play and earned the top seed. They dominated the first two matches at the SPC Tournament and met Houston Christian in the finals."

The varsity football team also earned top seed in the south zone to earn their spot in the exciting finals game played in the University of Houston's TDECU Stadium. The Knights put forth a strong team effort, but fell to rival Kinkaid, 38-21. Look for a complete SPC wrap-up by Athletic Director Jason Grove on our website.
