During preseason activities, the Arts Pillar welcomes guest choreographers from across the country to work with our dancers, holds initial band and string orchestra practices and choir rehearsals, and begins rehearsals for the fall play: Radium Girls. As a special addition to the preseason calendar, the Performing Arts Department will host a welcome social on Tuesday, August 20, at 2:00 p.m. in the Underwood Theatre (immediately following Freshman Student Orientation). All students are welcome to come by, meet or reconnect with friends and faculty, and talk about the coming school year!

Below are the Arts Preseason activities. We hope to see our EHS artists there!

Performing Arts:
Performing Arts Social – August 20, 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Underwood Theatre. All students are invited. Connect with fellow EHS performing artists immediately following Knight School. Meet classmates and returning EHS students involved in Dance, Music and Theatre while enjoying some ice cream treats. Contact Performing Arts Department Chair Garmon Ashby with any questions.

Choir:
No auditions required – all students are welcome to attend.

Dance:
Rehearsals for Advanced, Repertory, Impact classes, and Elevate Competition Team:
August 5 - August 10, August 12 - August 14, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Dance Studios.

Music:
No auditions required – All students are welcome to attend.
Pep Band: August 8 - August 9, 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel transept

Strings & Band: August 12 - August 14, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (Region music), 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Full ensembles) in the Chapel transept
