Ready to dive into the arts? Get all the details below.

During preseason activities, the Arts Pillar welcomes guest choreographers from across the country to work with our dancers, holds initial band and string orchestra practices and choir rehearsals, and begins rehearsals for the fall play.

As a special addition to the preseason calendar, the Performing Arts Department will host a welcome social on Tuesday, August 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the Underwood Theatre (immediately following Freshman Student Orientation). All students are welcome to come by, meet or reconnect with friends and faculty, and talk about the coming school year!

Below are the Arts Preseason activities. We hope to see our EHS artists there!

Rehearsals and workshops are free, and open to ensemble members and all EHS students where indicated.

Dance:

New Student Placement Auditions: March 29 10:00 a.m. – Noon

Preseason for Advanced, Repertory, Impact and Elevate, 8/4 – 8/9, 8/11- 8/13, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

 

Music Preseason:

Choir: 8/11-8/13 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (open to all singers) Choir room in the Convent.

Pep Band: 8/7 - 8/8 from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.; 8/11 - 8/13 from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., Chapel transept in the Convent.

Strings & Band: 8/11 - 8/13 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. full ensemble in the Chapel transept.
 

Theatre:

Auditions for Fall Play:5/10 from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the Underwood Theatre

Rehearsals for Fall Play: 8/4 in the Underwood Theatre 

Theatre preseason: Wednesday 8/13 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the Underwood Theatre

Debate and Speech:

• Congress Workshop: 8/4 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 
• PF Workshop: 8/5 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
• Speech/Interpretation Workshop: 8/6 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
• Returning preseason: 8/7 and 8/8 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (register for one session each day)
