With the Leaving Tree Ceremony, Baccalaureate, the Senior Banquet, and Commencement, EHS celebrated the Class of 2024.
Despite the unexpected storm two days earlier, EHS celebrated the Class of 2024 during the weekend of May 18-19 with the traditional Leaving Tree Ceremony followed by the Baccalaureate service. During the afternoon, each soon-to-be-graduate placed a leaf on the 2024 tree and was photographed with his or her family. At the 5:00 p.m. Baccalaureate, the Rt. Rev. Jeff W. Fisher encouraged the graduates to take the time to celebrate themselves. Following Baccalaureate, the seniors and their families headed to the Bayou City Event Center for the Senior Banquet to honor and celebrate the Class. After the traditional Senior Video, Senior Awards were presented. See the list below.
Celebrating its 38th commencement exercises on Sunday, May 19, Episcopal High School graduated the Class of 2024! Led by the traditional bagpipes, the seniors processed into the Alkek Gym, applauded Senior speaker Karson Gordon, and proudly walked across the stage to receive their diplomas. Dean of Spiritual Life Beth Holden sent them off with these final words: " Unto God’s gracious mercy and protection, we commit you. The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make the space to shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace."
