Last weekend, EHS hosted its first Houston-area Quiz Bowl contest of the school year. Our Knights won 12 matches! The Knights were one of 26 teams competing in the tournament, sponsored by Texas Challengers Quiz Bowl.

In Division Two, the EHS Team of Ana Anzola, Casey Cochran, Caroline Johnson, and Catherine Weitzel earned second place, losing a close match to national powerhouse Strake Jesuit in the finals.

Freshman Catherine Weitzel won the gold medal as the top-scoring overall student — answering 58 toss-ups correctly.

The EHS Quiz Bowl Team turns its attention to preparing for the Cinco Ranch Tournament later this month. Before the school year ends, EHS will participate in eight Quiz Bowl contests. Way to start off the year, Knights!
