The Knights move to 2-1 on the season after Friday’s home win over the Eagles.

The varsity football team earned a solid 35-14 win over Second Baptist Friday night in front of the home fans. Karson Gordon ’24 led the Knights explosive offense as the quarterback completed 18 of 32 passes for 269 yards and 2 touchdowns while rushing for 62 yards and 2 touchdowns. Running back Carson Fowler ’25 added a highlight reel rushing touchdown of 73 yards while Andre Thompson ’24 and Lane Linebarger ’23 each caught touchdown passes. The Knights travel to Nolan Catholic this Friday for another primetime SPC v TAPPS showdown.

In other athletic news, the varsity girls cross country team continued their dominating season with a huge win in the 5-6A division of the Hillacious Invitational in Brenham. Lucy Holden ’23 won the event with a time of 19:14 while Maddy Morgan finished second with a time of 19:28. The varsity boys finished sixth in their race while the JV boys finished 12th.

The varsity boys volleyball team picked up two huge SPC home wins over the weekend as the Knights defeated St. Andrews 3-0 Friday night and St. Stephens 3-1 on Saturday.
