EHS senior Karson Gordon set a new national high school triple jump record with a jump of 53’1.5” this past weekend at the Texas Relays in Austin. Gordon, the reigning Texas Gatorade Track and Field Athlete of the Year, continues to enjoy an outstanding senior year as the UCLA -bound quarterback led the Knights to the 4A football championship in November. Gordon and the EHS Track and Field team are preparing to defend their SPC 4A title as they will compete in Dallas in early May.

In other athletic news, EHS basketball swept the Houston Chronicle awards as both Chelsea Bass and Wayne Jones won girls and boys Private School Coach of the Year and Me’Arah O’Neal and Justin Begg won girls and boys Private School Player of the Year Awards. In addition to those awards, seniors Emrie Holt and Jakeel Registe were named All-Private School First Team players.

Congratulations and Go Knights!
