The Baseball team continued their later-season surge with opening round wins over St. Mark’s (11-1) and St. John’s (5-1), which set up another epic championship matchup with Kinkaid. The Knights played well but fell 4-1 to finish as runner-up.
Both the Girls and Boys Tennis teams enjoyed strong seasons and competed well in SPC tournament play. Both teams dropped tough opening matches to higher seeds but rebounded in round two. The girls defeated Houston Christian 3-2 while the boys swept the Mustangs 5-0. The girls team defeated Duchesne 5-0 to earn fifth place in the 4A division while the boys finished sixth after a close 3-2 loss to Greenhill.
In addition to the SPC action, both the Girls and Boys Lacrosse teams concluded their seasons in the state playoffs. The girls defeated Memorial 11-10 in overtime Tuesday evening, but fell to ESD this weekend. The boys season came to an end Saturday morning at Tully Stadium as the Knights suffered a tough 12-11 loss to Rockwall.
