EHS Head Football Coach Steve Leisz was named Private School Coach of the Year during the club’s annual Awards Banquet held last week at the Omni Hotel. Leisz, who previously won this award in 2019, led the Knights to a 10-1 record and an SPC 4A Championship. The SPC title marks the fifth for Coach Leisz in his time at the helm of the program. Coach Leisz announced his retirement from football at the conclusion of the season and finishes with a remarkable 129-49-1 record.
EHS Senior Linebacker Tyler Blevins was named Defensive Player of the Year during the Touchdown Club Banquet. Blevins, the senior leader of a ferocious defense, finished the season with 50 tackles, 2 sacks, 7 tackles-for-losses, 2 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles.
