The EHS varsity girls volleyball team continued their impressive start to the 2022 season as the Knights went 5-1 in the Dickinson Invitational. The Knights earned three huge wins Thursday evening over Channel View, Sterling, and Sweeny to advance to Saturday's gold bracket. After a tough loss to perennial power Manvel in the opening match of the gold bracket, the Knights rallied to sweep both Summer Creek and Shadow Creek and finish fifth overall. Senior Ava Harrington was named to the all-tournament team. The Knights return to the court Tuesday evening as they host FBCHA at 5:30p.m. in Alkek Gym.

This week marks the opening week for several other teams as both the JV and varsity field hockey teams travel to Awty International on Tuesday for contests. The varsity field hockey team and varsity boys volleyball team will travel to Ft. Worth this weekend for games against Trinity Valley and Ft. Worth Country Day.

The JV White and JV Blue football teams host Livingston Thursday at Simmons Stadium while the varsity football team travels to Livingston Friday night.

The cross country team opens their season Saturday morning at the Cypress Relays with events beginning at 7:30a.m.
