Although the remarkable 2024-25 athletic year ended a few short weeks ago, the honors continue to roll in for the Knights. EHS softball star Allie Williams was recently named the VYPE Private School Softball Player of the Year. Williams, who will begin her college softball experience at New Mexico in a few months, was selected after leading the Knights to their seventh consecutive SPC title. The powerful centerfielder set both the single season and career home run records at EHS and leaves big shoes to fill next spring.
Gordon, the reigning Texas Gatorade Track and Field Athlete of the Year, was recently named the Houston Chronicle Private School Track and Field Athlete of the Year. The two-sport star led both the football and track and field teams to SPC titles while setting a national record in the triple jump. Gordon has been settling in at UCLA where he will compete in both sports for the Bruins.
In addition to Williams and Gordon, EHS head track and field coach Isaiah Coleman has received coach of the year honors from both the Houston Chronicle and the Texas Track and Field Coaches Association. Coleman led the Knights to a sweep of the girls and boys SPC Championships this past season.
