Boys Lacrosse Defeats Kinkaid; Finishes 3rd in the City

The Knights historic boys lacrosse season added another chapter Saturday as they overcame an early 4-1 deficit at Kinkaid and rallied for a dominant 12-7 win. With a stout defense and potent offense, the Knights controlled play for much of the game as they avenged an early-season OT loss to the Falcons. With the win, the Knights secured the #7 seed in the THSLL Class A state tournament and earned a first-round matchup with #10 Rockwall at Allen High School this Saturday.

In other athletic news, the varsity baseball team continued their undefeated SPC season with a thrilling 9-0 win at St. John's. Gunnar Brown pitched six dominant innings, limiting the Mavericks to four hits while striking out twelve. Raffi Gross, Tanner Fox, and Bennett Hanks added two hits each to the offensive attack. Gross also collected three RBI's.

EHS freshman golf sensation Bradley O'Donnell shot an SPC and school record 65 at Woodforest Country Club to capture first-place in the SPC South Zone Golf Championships last week. O'Donnell was joined by Jack Oren (79) and Billy Hall (79) on the leaderboard as the trio helped lead the boys team to a runner-up finish in the team standings. Sophie Kanarellis' 82 placed her on the leaderboard in the girls tournament as she and her teammates helped the Knights finish fourth in the team standings.
