EHS Campus Closes for Spring Semester

Following Governor Greg Abbott's announcement last Friday regarding the continuing school closures, our campus is closed through the end of May.

With the cancellation of final exams, the last day for seniors will be Thursday, May 7, and the last day for underclassmen will be Friday, May 15. The week of May 18 will be for meetings and professional development for faculty and staff. Schedules for the weeks of May 4 and May 11, as well as the dates and times of the spring awards Chapels, are posted here.

Although these kinds of life experiences usually start out as seemingly insurmountable challenges for both students and faculty, our faculty quickly recognized that this was an opportunity not only to engage our students in new ways, but also for students to apply what they have learned. Our students responded well. This is the essence of our mission --- to prepare students intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually for the challenges before them. The professionalism, diligence, and creativity of the faculty along with the energy, resourcefulness, and resilience of our students has turned this unwelcome circumstance into an opportunity for growth.

Although the spring has brought its challenges, together and Knight Strong, we are moving forward with gusto. Know that we miss you and hope that you and your families will continue to be safe and well.
