Football Defeats Kinkaid 31-17 and Weekly Update

The Knights fought back from a 10-3 deficit early in the second half and used an impressive ground game to dismantle the Falcons on their home turf. EHS running backs Quon Marion and Adrian Cormier each scored two rushing touchdowns as the Knight offensive line displayed the power and strength that has earned them a reputation as one of the finest units in the state of Texas. The EHS defense contributed to the second half rout, forcing two huge turnovers and keeping the Falcon offense in check. The win leaves the Knights as the lone undefeated team in the 4A division of the SPC with just a Senior Night showdown with Houston Christian left on the conference schedule.

In other athletic news, both the girls varsity volleyball and field hockey teams earned impressive Senior Night wins over Away International Thursday evening. Both teams have huge SPC counters this week, first at St. John's Tuesday night and Thursday afternoon versus St. Andrew's (field hockey only). The varsity boys volleyball team will host St. John's Wednesday at 5:30 in a match that should decide the top seed in the SPC south zone.
