Girls Cross Country Takes Third at Maverick Ramble

The young EHS girls cross country team continued their rapid accent to the top of the SPC ranks with another outstanding performance at Saturday's Maverick Ramble at TC Jester Park. All six EHS runners performed very well in the event that featured many of the top SPC and private school teams in south Texas. The Knights were led once again by Kat Kwiatkowski's 19:30 finish, good for 2nd place overall. Ella Newman finished 10th with a time of 20:49, followed by Kate Freeman and her 21.12 and 13th place finish. Isabelle De Bruyker (21:45), Alena Haney (22:31), and Elizabeth McLauchlin (23:56) rounded out the morning's finishes.

The EHS boys team continued to improve, finishing 11th overall in their race. The Knights were led by Jake Klucnik's time of 18:47. John Bruton (19:13), Sam Randall (19:24) and Davis Barringer (19:39) gave the Knights four finishes of less than 20:00.

The EHS girls volleyball team continued their amazing season with a dominant 3-0 win over SPC foe John Cooper Thursday evening. The win moves the Knights record to 35-5 and 4-0 in the SPC.

Varsity football overcame some key injuries and earned an impressive 28-17 win over SPC rival St. Mark's at EHS Friday evening. Sophomore running back Zach Nguyen earned his first varsity start and helped lead the Knight offense with two TD's, one rushing and one receiving. A Mitchell Mostyn interception late in the 4th quarter helped secure win #6 for the Knights and keep them undefeated (4-0) in SPC play.
