Knights Excel in Dallas

The EHS wrestling team earned their third consecutive SPC runner-up trophy as eleven Knights finished in the top-three and earned all-SPC recognition. The Knights sent nine wrestlers to the championship round and crowned two champions. Five EHS wrestlers have qualified for Prep Nationals and will compete at Lehigh University this weekend.

The varsity girls basketball team earned the #2 seed in the SPC tournament and defeated Casady in the quarterfinal before falling to eventual champion Greenhill in the semifinal. The Knights rallied to earn their first win over Kinkaid in ten years in the consolation final and finished 3rd in the SPC with a 23-6 overall record.

The varsity girls soccer team lost a heartbreaker to Greenhill in the quarterfinal and saw their two-game winning streak v Kinkaid come to an end with a 1-0 loss in the consolation bracket. The team finished the season with a 13-6 record, good for 6th place in the SPC.

The varsity boys basketball team opened SPC tournament play with a win over Greenhill and gave eventual champion St. Mark's all they could handle in the semifinal. The Knights rallied to defeat St. Stephens in the consolation final to finish 3rd in the SPC with an overall record of 22-8.

The varsity boys soccer team performed very well in the final weeks of the regular season, defeating St. John's 2-0 and Houston Christian 3-1. The win over St. John's extended the Knights win streak over the Mavericks to ten games. The Knights lost a tough opening match to eventual champion St. Mark's in the SPC tournament but rallied to defeat John Cooper 3-0 in the consolations to finish 5th in the SPC.

The swimming and diving team broke five school records at the SPC championship meet as the girls team finished 6th and the boys 9th.
