Rachel Stelter Named Varsity Girls Soccer Coach

The EHS Athletics Pillar is pleased to announce that Rachel Stelter has been chosen to lead the girls soccer program and serve as the varsity girls head coach. A native Houstonian, Stelter recently retired from professional soccer having spent time with the Houston Dash and Boston Breakers of the NWSL. In addition to her time in the NWSL, Stelter played professionally in Europe for AC Sparta Praha, Grenoble Foot 38 and the FC Bohemians.

No stranger to the Southwest Preparatory Conference, Stelter graduated from The John Cooper School in 2011 before beginning her collegiate experience at Davidson College. Stelter returned to The John Cooper School in 2018 to lead the middle school and junior varsity soccer teams while also assisting the varsity program. In 2018, Stelter partnered with former Dash teammate Bianca Henninger to create the Houston Soccer School and Girls Empowering Girls Soccer Camps. This venture operates throughout Houston hosting three-day soccer camps designed to instruct players on fundamentals while also fostering a community of females empowering each other.

In addition to girls soccer, Stelter will assist both the field hockey and track programs at EHS.
