My teaching style stems from my personality style, of course, which is to make sure everyone feels comfortable and welcome. In the classroom, if someone doesn’t understand something, I do everything I can to help them. I also want my students to feel understood, so I make sure to listen and pay close attention to the way they work.
Working in teams is a huge contributing factor to my success here at EHS. Someone always has a solution to a problem I might face. The team helps lighten the workload too, as we all contribute ideas for lessons and plan our materials together in advance. This leads to success in the classroom, which to me is a culmination of lightbulb moments experienced by my students.
I love to dance and take aerial silks classes. I perform a couple times a year for family and friends and look forward to being backstage at the dance recitals here at Episcopal. Hopefully I can teach some EHS students an aerial silks class in the future.
