The overall sense of community and school spirit drew me to EHS. The faculty and staff are committed to the Four Pillar model and work together to make EHS the best possible school that it can be. The student’s love of EHS is shown in the way that they support their peers in all Four Pillars and encourage each other daily.
The most influential person in helping me choose to work in education was Mr. Lindberg, my US history teach. Mr. Lindberg brought history to life each day and taught with passion and enthusiasm. He was a brilliant storyteller and made a point to try and connect with each student. He had high expectations for his students but gave constant encouragement. I wanted to use my passion for history in a similar way and strive to serve my students in the same way that Mr. Lindberg did many years ago.
Watching the joy and sense of accomplishment on the faces of the girls golf team when it was announced that they had won EHS’ first-ever SPC golf championship is a moment that I will always remember. Coach Moake and her students worked very hard throughout the season to accomplish this incredible feat and believed in each other. These young ladies had a very special connection and their character, commitment, and teamwork allowed them to hoist the championship trophy.
