Parents Association
A Letter from the president
2022-23 Parents Association President -
Kim Van Gundy
Dear EHS Parents,
The 2022-2023 school year is right around the corner and I could not be more excited! My oldest daughter, Mattie, started at EHS as a freshman in 2009 and my youngest daughter, Grayson, graduates in the class of 2023. What I appreciate most about my girls' EHS experience is that while there have been numerous campus improvements and changes, the essence and the soul of the school has remained the same. The anchor of the school is the Four Pillars: Academics, Arts, Athletics and Religion. Within these pillars, every student can follow their passions and find opportunities to STAND OUT with incredible teacher support and guidance. As parents, there are ample possibilities to become a part of the EHS community and see firsthand how truly fortunate we all are to have such a wonderful place for our students to learn and grow.
The Parents Association is a great way to become involved in our school community. I would like to welcome all the new families to EHS and invite you to get involved on campus. The Parents Association mission is simple: we want to support all aspects of the school and its programs. To maximize these programs, it is imperative to have parental support and on-campus involvement. Plus, it is FUN to volunteer and meet other parents! The Parents Association is open to all parents and no matter how you want to volunteer or the time constraints you have, we have opportunities for you to make a significant impact.
Let us know how you want to help and if you need suggestions, just let me know. Circle the date of August 16th as that is our Volunteer Rally. It is a great time to ask questions, see the opportunities available, meet other parents and most importantly, find ways to support our terrific student body and faculty. Have a wonderful summer and I hope I have the opportunity to meet all of you this coming school year.
GO KNIGHTS!
