Caroline Finkelstein

Dear Episcopal Community,

I am so happy that the 2021- 2022 school year is shaping up to be much more normal for all of us.  With the widespread availability of vaccines, our children and families can come closer to resuming our normal lives.  That being said, we should be proud of our community and how we all pivoted to make the most of life with Covid-19.  While the challenges were numerous, students, parents, teachers, staff, and administration rose to the occasion.  Along the way, we learned valuable lessons about how to persevere in life and learning.  Without a doubt, some of the ways in which we work and learn will be forever changed.

I would like to welcome all new families to EHS and invite you to a become part of our school’s community.  Take advantage of the Mentor Moms program as a helpful resource and attend the Dad’s Club events.  These are great ways to meet new people and learn more about EHS.   Having a senior son, I can tell you that the seniors are looking forward to starting the year with the traditional Senior breakfast, and the Blessing of the Seniors chapel service.  Our students are also excited for the return of fall sports where they can gather again with our community and cheer on our amazing Knights!   I have no doubt that events like Homecoming, school plays, and dance recitals can look forward to appreciative spectators this fall.

As a parent, I truly missed being on campus, feeling the energy of the students, and I am looking forward to volunteering in order to witness first-hand all the great things that EHS is doing with and for our kids.  Please join me in celebrating a return to the campus for all of us, and take this opportunity to get involved.  We are thrilled to bring back the Volunteer Rally which will explain the many ways in which parents can get involved.  While we are grateful to have in-person volunteer jobs, there will still be remote options as well, so that anyone who wants to help, can participate in a manner that is comfortable for them.   I look forward to seeing all of you on campus this year.

Go Knights!
