2020-21 Parents Association President -
Kristi Kincannon

Dear EHS Parents,

Wow! 2020 has been quite a year so far…so many events and changes.

I don’t know about you, but the time in quarantine reminded me of the things in life that are truly important. It makes you want to hold on even more tightly to those you love. Watching our high school kids adjust so quickly to online learning was impressive. I was amazed at how prepared Episcopal High School was to usher my boys to a new learning platform. The kids didn’t miss a beat. It was nice with all that we had going on to NOT worry that there would be any holes in their education. The teachers were there for their students during class and afterward in virtual “tutorials.” Hopefully the 2020-2021 school year brings an end to this pandemic. But as we enter the new school year with hope and prayers for our best year yet, we can enter it with confidence knowing that EHS is prepared to handle whatever comes our way.

EHS has been such a blessing in our family’s lives. It has provided an amazing education and a safe and happy environment for our two boys. They are flourishing into responsible young adults with the help and guidance of the outstanding teachers, college counselors, and devoted faculty and staff. EHS has provided all of my children with a well-rounded perspective through all of its Four Pillars--Academics, Arts, Athletics and Religion. It has given my children, my husband, and me a community of friends that will remain a community of family for a lifetime!

I would like to welcome all new families to EHS and invite you to become a part of our school community. There are so many opportunities to get involved. Please take a look at the Online Parent Packet. It lists a number of volunteer opportunities. Also, plan on attending the back to school Volunteer Rally on Tuesday, August 18, following Orientation. Episcopal offers numerous ways to be a part of your child’s high school experience, whether it is large or small, or if you are a stay-at-home or working parent.

The Parents Association’s mission is to enhance the EHS community by supporting all aspects of the school’s programs, and parental involvement is an integral part of the EHS experience. The PA is open to all parents. Your volunteer efforts will not only benefit the school, but will provide you the opportunity to meet other families, interact with students, faculty and staff and to have fun!

Please consider getting involved. Remember, there is no job too small. From Moms in Prayer, to Auction Volunteer, to Cookie Duty… the possibilities are endless. Remember to look through the 2020-2021 Online Parent Packet to identify the volunteer opportunities that await your talents and enthusiasm. We look forward to a great school year and to seeing you EHS events.

Let’s make the 2020-2021 the best year yet!

Go Knights!
