All-School Advent Chapel Takes Place Tuesday, 12/12; Community Advent Chapel is Wednesday, 12/13
Our beautiful Advent Chapel tradition takes place two nights this week.  The all-school, required service is on Tuesday, 12/12, from 6:00-7:00 p.m.  Families who will be observing Hanukkah should notify the appropriate grade level dean today, 12/11, if their student needs to be excused from Advent Chapel. Pizza will be served in the Crum Lobby from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for those students who need to remain at school that afternoon.

Community Advent Chapel will be celebrated on Wednesday, 12/13 at 6:00 p.m. All parents, alumni, and friends of the School are invited to attend Community Advent Chapel.  The St. Paul's Treble Choir will perform at Wednesday's service.

Rev Up Your Engines! "California Dreaming" Underwriting Deadline Closes Today

We are almost to Palm Springs! If you would like your name listed in the Auction invitation, your Underwriting registration must be turned in today. As an underwriter, you receive acknowledgement in all Auction publications and preferred seating on Auction night. Supporters at the La Jolla Couple level ($3,000) or above will be invited to the fabulous Underwriter Cocktail Party at the home of Randi and Johnny Carrabba.

Donation Deadline:  Auction donations and ad forms should be turned in this week, on Friday, December 15.

Academics Pillar Monthly Reminders
The School will forego mid-year exams and fall semester finals this month to capture the instructional days lost to our Hurricane Harvey closure.
Monday, December 11 through Wednesday, December 20--which would have been review and exam days--will become regular school days with a 3:15 p.m. dismissal and may include unit tests, writing assignments, and quizzes.
Dec. 11: English Unit Test
Dec. 14: Religion Unit Test
Dec. 15 : Science Unit Test
Dec. 18:  World Languages Unit Test
Dec. 19: History/Social Sciences Unit Test

Academic Assistance: Parents who are considering psycho-educational testing for their student to qualify for SAT/ACT accommodations and an Education Plan, should contact the Director of Academic Assistance, Jenny Cantrell, for the list of EHS-approved evaluators via email or phone: 713-512-3677.

December Notes from College Counseling

The College Counseling offices have moved. While we will miss being in the Convent with the administration and staff, we are blessed to move into our spacious new offices on the second floor above Crum Gym in the old weight room. Please come by to visit us!

Sophomores and Juniors - PSAT scores will be released this Tuesday, December 12. You will receive an email directly from College Board once the scores are available. For more information on how to understand your scores or to link your College Board account to Khan Academy for test preparation, please check out the videos posted on Counseling Connections under the tab, PSAT Information.

Worried about the cost of college? - The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opened on October 1. Be sure to get your FSA ID here before completing your FAFSA online. Some schools require the 2018-2019 CSS/Financial Aid Profile (found here), which is available now. For detailed information, please visit our "Paying for College" tab in Counseling Connections.
Parents of the Class of 2019—Save the date for the upcoming College Night for the Class of 2019 on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in Hildebrand Athletic Center, Alumni Room (3rd floor of the new building).

3. Click on the "Episcopal School Portraits Click To View" link at the bottom of the page.
4. Click "Open Gallery" button (bottom right of page).
5. Enter your e-mail address and the password: EHS17
6. Click "Open Gallery" again and Navigate to the grade/photos you would like to favorite or add to cart/buy. Follow the on-screen prompts and complete your purchase via the Website.
