Baylor Genetics Counselor Visits EHS
Haley Streff, a Genetics Counselor in the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital, will present several programs on Friday, February 9, and parents and friends of EHS are invited to attend. Sessions are throughout the day in the Underwood Library at 8:00 a.m., 8:50 a.m., 10:20 a.m., 11:10 a.m., 12:50 p.m., 1:40 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Streff will examine the presence of genetics in a changing world and share her experiences.

Re-enrollment Contracts Due February 15
The 2018-2019 re-enrollment contracts are due on February 15. Please note our service provider is having technical difficulties that are preventing families from logging into My Backpack to complete their re-enrollment contracts. We will send out an email once this issue has been resolved.

"Light & Shadow" Seeks Student Submissions

"Light & Shadow" literary magazine has earned an Award for Excellence for the seventh year in a row! Be sure that your student showcases his or her talents in the 2018 edition. Submissions of writing and art will be due March 2 by 4:00 p.m.  Read here for more detail. 

2/7 Parent Forum Explores Teens and Technology

Help your teen develop a healthy relationship with technology at Wednesday's Parent Forum, 11:30 a.m. in the Alumni Room (3rd floor) of the Hildebrand Athletic Center. Lunch will be provided.

"California Dreaming" Online Auction Closes 2/8

Dream Away:  This year's Online Auction closes Thursday, February 8, at noon. More than 200 fabulous items will be offered online. Find these amazing items at ehshouston.afrogs.org. Bidding is open to the public, so please share the link with family and friends. Note: The competition heats up right before the noon closing!

Auction Night Tickets: Individual tickets and underwriting tickets are available. Register online or call Debbie in the Auction Office at 713-512-3442. (The deadline for acknowledgement in the Auction invitation and catalog has passed, but your name will be listed in other Auction publications that are produced.)

Junior College Night Scheduled for 2/12

Class of 2019 Students and Parents - Please join us for College Night on February 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hildebrand Athletic Center Alumni Room (3rd floor).

Juniors - You have time to register for the upcoming March SAT by the February 9 deadline. Register for the SAT with writing. (This is not optional.) The date is the Saturday before Spring Break.
Junior Conferences - Conferences are in full swing. Parents/Guardians, please complete the Parent Brag Sheet found in your parent Naviance/Family Connection account or at the College Counseling webpage here and submit to Ms. Tena Ward to schedule your conference.
