Athletes Compete in Dallas and Houston - Last weekend brought a whirlwind of activity for EHS Athletics. The cross country, volleyball, and field hockey teams competed in SPC tournaments in Dallas. The football team played in the SPC Championship at Delmar Stadium versus perennial rival Kinkaid. Last but not least, the varsity cheerleaders, who lift up all teams across all seasons, brought home another championship trophy at the National Cheerleader Association Lone Star Classic at NRG. Read Athletic Director Jason Grove's wrap-up of results here.

Swim Team Holds Fundraiser to Fight Sarcoma

On November 15, EHS Swim Team will take part in the 11th annual Ted Mullin Hour of Power Relay for Sarcoma Research, an event held nationwide since 2006. Last year 166 college, high school, and club teams including over 7,000 athletes participated in the event.

This event is held in honor of Ted Mullin (1984-2006), a swimmer and team captain of the Carleton College swimming and diving team. Ted died in the fall of 2006 at the age of twenty-two of sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. Funds raised through the Hour of Power go to the Ted Mullin Pediatric Sarcoma Research Fund at The University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital (UCM). Since 2014, EHS has raised over $5000 toward this cause.

The EHS Swimming and Diving team will have a bake sale on the 15th to raise funds for this cause.
