Derby Knight Auction Joins the Winners Circle! The 2019 Auction, "Derby Knight," met all marks for success last Friday in the beautiful Hildebrand Athletic Center's Alkek Gym.

The dazzling Derby-inspired evening raised funds for our students and for programs across all Four Pillars, with proceeds directed toward the 2018-2019 school year.

Guests enjoyed the Churchill Downs ambiance, with a delicious dinner catered by City Kitchen. Chairs Sabrina Espinoza, Patricia Hammond, and Lyria O'Brien set the vision for the night, bringing in new Silent and Live Auction items and recruiting a champion team of volunteers. Decoration chairs Linda Elmer and Kameron Craft and a team of volunteers transformed Alkek Gym into the ultimate Derby scene.

Thank you to all who supported "Derby Knight" and EHS!

Winning Bidders - You will be notified this week if you were a high bidder on an Auction night item. Please give us a few days to sort everything out. If you still have an Online item to pick up, please come by the Auction Office this week!

Back by Popular Demand: College Admissions Expert Adam Ingersoll
Parents of Sophomores and Juniors - Please save the date for the upcoming College Admission Testing Presentation on Tuesday, March 5, during the lunch hour beginning at noon in the Hildebrand Athletic Center Alumni Room (3rd floor). Back by popular demand! Adam Ingersoll is the co-founder of Compass Education Group, a provider of one-on-one tutoring for several thousand students annually around the world. Now in his third decade in the college admission testing arena, Ingersoll is recognized as a leading voice in this field and is a frequently requested guest speaker at schools and conferences. Ingersoll is also invited to lead training workshops for the admission staff at colleges and universities, most recently USC and Caltech. He is here to share insights on how to help parents successfully navigate the testing requirements of college admission. He has presented at EHS the past two years and our families (and college counseling staff) appreciate his wise insight.

Juniors - You still have time to register late for the upcoming March SAT by February 27. Keep in mind that this test date is the Saturday before Spring Break. For the April ACT, register now--before the March 8 deadline--to ensure the testing center location you prefer.

Additional information and details can be found on our Counseling Connections page.
