All-Expense Travel to Japan for 12 Lucky Students An exciting opportunity for EHS students! The Japan/America Society of Houston (JASH) has offered an all-expenses paid trip to Japan during Spring Break 2020 to 12 EHS students and three EHS faculty chaperones. This is part of a two-year grant by the Grassroots Exchange Network—Japan (JEN J) to build familiarity and goodwill toward Japan in preparation for the 2020 Summer Olympics to be held in Tokyo. Ready for Grandparents Day! This Friday, November 22, EHS is delighted to host our annual Grandparents Day. We are excited to have extended family and friends join us for Chapel and a celebratory luncheon. The schedule and details for the day are as follows: 10:15 a.m. – Meet your grandchild 10:35 a.m. – Grandparents Day Chapel Service 11:30 a.m. – Lunch with your grandchild in the Alkek Gymnasium Parking & Drop Off Details: Enter through the Bissonnet gate. Parking will be available on campus with golf carts available for transportation to the Chapel. For guests with limited mobility, there will be a designated drop off and ramp just outside of the Chapel doors on the Ellipse driveway. Formal Uniforms Required: Students must wear formal uniforms on Grandparents Day. Uniforms may not be delivered after 8:00 a.m.
Longhorn or Aggie? Deadline is December 1 Applying to UT Austin or Texas A&M? - The deadline is Sunday, December 1. Don't wait until then to push "submit," as you will want access to your portal page to finish up the last items necessary for your application to be complete. Seniors - Are you planning to apply for financial aid in college? You can begin by creating your FSA ID here and then start completing your FAFSA. Applications opened on October 1. For more details, visit our "Paying for College" page in Counseling Connections. SAT/ACT Reminders - Seniors, this is your last chance to test for the fall college application deadlines. You can still register with a late fee for both the SAT and ACT. Register today! This also applies to eager juniors who want to get ahead with their testing.
