A Sensational Success! - Blue Knight Masquerade, the 2020 Gala Auction, met all marks for success last Friday in the Hildebrand Athletic Center's Alkek and Scurlock gyms. The Auction's masquerade-inspired evening raised funds for students and programs across all Four Pillars, with proceeds directed toward the current 2019-2020 school year. More than 300 guests mingled incognito, enjoying the lambent glow of the blue-and-white ballroom and dining on impressive cuisine catered by City Kitchen. Chairs Elizabeth and Will Galtney, Daryl and Aaron Hoover, and Carol and Gregg Thompson set the vision for the night, bringing in new Silent and Live Auction items and recruiting a dedicated team of volunteers. Decoration chairs Jennifer Black and Kristi Kincannon and their crew magically transformed the Scurlock and Alkek gyms with tulle, draping, and trellises. Thank you to all who supported "Blue Knight Masquerade" and EHS! Stay tuned for a Media Gallery of Gala night photos next week! Winning Bidders - Please give us a few days to sort everything out. All Parents Invited to Ash Wednesday Chapel On Wednesday, February 26, parents are welcome to join us for Chapel from 9:20-10:10 a.m. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the penitential season of Lent, and as part of the liturgy, we impose ashes on foreheads with the words, "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return." It's a moving and powerful service, and this year, Bishop Andy Doyle will be here to offer the homily.
