Interim Term Trips 2023-24

EHS is excited to offer three travel opportunities for Interim Term this school year: Puerto Rico Service Learning, Disney World Imagineering, and Spain/Portugal. The Spain/Portugal trip registration took place in the spring and is now closed.

Trips are open to EHS students in the 9th, 10th, and 11th grades. If a trip is oversubscribed, students will be selected by seniority of grade level and thereafter by lottery if necessary.

The student selection process will be as follows:

1. Families have until Friday, September 22 by 11:59pm to express strong intention for their child to attend a trip. To express intention, a parent must email Traci Payne-Warren — the EHS Travel Coordinator — the name and grade level of their child. If a student is strongly interested in both trips, parents must number their preferences (1 or 2). The parent email will be considered an informal commitment to attend the trip and pay the trip deposit, should the student have a spot on a trip roster.

2. Families requesting financial assistance for their child to attend a trip should reach out to Brianna Garcia in the business office as soon as possible.

3. If a trip is oversubscribed at the end of Friday, September 22, students will be selected by seniority of grade level and thereafter by lottery, if necessary. Upper grades will be given priority across the board. For example, if a junior does not “make” their trip of first preference and has expressed interest in another trip in which sophomores have interest, the junior would be given priority.

4. On Wednesday, September 27, families of students on preliminary trip rosters will be notified and given instructions on how to pay their deposit.

5. By Wednesday, October 4, families must pay the trip deposit to secure their spot. If a family does not pay the deposit by the deadline, the student’s spot will be given to a student on the waitlist.

Below you will find dates, costs, and other important information about each trip. All trip costs include mandatory travel insurance. If you have questions about a specific trip, please contact the trip leader. However, in order to express intention to attend, please contact Traci Payne-Warren following the above protocol.
